Adult Programs

Book Club

  • Each month September through May a different discussion is held.  Sometime it is “Pitch Your Current Read”. Share what you are reading hoping to entice someone else to read it so you can have your own comparison time.  Some months the same book is read by all with a lively discussion of the book held on the second Tuesday.  During the cold month the group meets at 2pm while other months they meet at 7pm.  Contact the library at 797-2214 for current book being discussed.  You can stop by the library and pick up books being discussed.

Movie Discussion

  • One night each month September through May a movie will be viewed at the library.  Following the viewing a discussion will be held with a variety of questions.

Adult Activity time at the Library

  • Each month September through May a different craft, speaker, or educational activity will be held on the third Tuesday of each month.  Some events will be held at 2pm while others at 7pm and some times the same activity will be offered at both times.  We have programed robots, learned about succulent plants, and have painted, sewn and made items using a Cricut.  Contact the library at 797-2214 for an exact schedule.

Manhattan Short Film Festival

  • Viewing is September 25 and 26, 2021 at 7pm.  The Cooperstown Theater is co-oping with the library to have the view on the big screen.  Come, view the films and then vote for your favorite.

A schedule of events will be posted each week on the Library Facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/GriggsCountyPublicLibrary
