Patron Policy

The patron policy defines who is a patron, their rights when using the library and the material contained in the library, and the conduct of the patron while in the library or attending a library program.

Purpose

The goal of the Griggs County Public Library is to have citizens use the collection as much as they need and want. To facilitate equitable access to circulating materials for all library users, the Griggs County Public Library does have specific loan periods for items in its collection.  The public materials within the library building are for use by all citizens.  The Library Board of Directors has established the following policies whereby a person may borrow an item for use outside of the building for a set period of time.

The Griggs County Public Library encourages people of all ages to visit the Library. Those using the Library and its resources have the right to expect a safe, comfortable environment that supports appropriate library services.
