Childrens Programs

Story Time

Story time is held on Wednesday morning from September through May.  The program is for children who have not entered kindergarten. Depending on the number of children there may be more than one session.  For more information about Story Time contact Lexi at gcpubliclibrary@mlgc.com or 797-2214.

Saturday at the Library for Families

The second Saturday of each month at 10:00am there is a program for families.  Saturday programs offer a variety of opportunity, crafts, games, and STEM activities to name a few. Check out the scheduled events on the Library’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/GriggsCountyPublicLibrary – Calendar of events coming soon!

Summer Activity Days

Programs for children and teens are held during June and July.  Each summer there is a different theme.  The 2022 theme was Oceans of Possibilities. Each week we focused on a different ocean animal, talked about water science, and made fun crafts!  The program for our youngest readers included songs and stories as well! 2022 Summer Reading was kicked off this year with an Oceans of Fun Carnival. Readers of all ages were encouraged to join us for games, crafts, face painting, BINGO, and most important, to get signed-up for the reading program. Mr. Jonathan May joined GCPL in June to host a comedic magic show, and we had a BLAST! Keep an eye out for information and dates for Summer 2023.
